#45 In conversation with Danielle Colley

We are not compartmentalised beings. The different aspects of our lives impact each other in ways that we may not even be aware of. You’re not split up into your business self, relationship self, and family self. Everything is interconnected. My next guest will talk us through how she uncovers issues that are holding us back in our business and life to improve ourselves as a whole.

I am excited to be chatting with the wonderful Danielle Colley. Danielle is an integrative life coach from ‘Your Good Life’. She studied positive psychology coaching and neurolinguistic programming to create programs and work one on one with clients to overcome issues by providing them with the tools they need to live their best life.

I know Danielle from personal experience. I have benefited from her coaching and I’m so happy to share my firsthand experience of how effective she is in addressing limitations and uncovering issues I didn’t even know existed. Her coaching has had a direct impact on my business through accepting vulnerability and operating with self-love.

Danielle is also a very valued client of mine. I created the contracts for her business and helped her through a difficult legal situation. She learned from this experience how important having comprehensive contracts are to her clients and to ourselves as professionals.

As always, we will talk about the best business advice she has received and what she would tell her younger self. I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation and I know that you’ll benefit from it as much as I did!

TOPICS DISCUSSED AND WHERE TO FIND THEM:

[1:42]: We tend to think of ourselves in parts. Our business self, relationship self, family self etc. But we aren’t compartmentalised beings. If there is an issue in one area, it affects every aspect.

[2:15]: Danielle is an integrative life coach who helps women feeling dissatisfied with their lives reach their full potential. She helps with self-doubt and clears away the debris from the past.

[2:56]: I reached out to Danielle a couple of years ago to work with her on an issue I was experiencing. I had previously always drawn a line between my professional self and personal self. Danielle uncovered issues I didn’t even know existed and by addressing them I was no longer held back in my business.

[4:00]: We need to reflect on the beliefs that are driving our behaviours.

[5:15]: Feeling vulnerable and operating with self-love has a direct impact on my business and the way I show up every day.

[6:24]: Danielle has prepared a meditation: self-love mojo activation. She encourages us to not put so much pressure on meditating.

[7:57]: Danielle tries to fit in 5-7 minutes of breathwork each day. Give yourself the practice of having a quiet moment every day.

[9:02]: Danielle shares how we can work with her. She is working one on one in her ‘Your Good Life Breakthrough Program’, which goes for 8-10 weeks to work through a specific individual challenge.

[10:10]: Danielle facilitates a ‘Your Good Life Collective’ page on Facebook that includes inspirational ideas and usable concepts to adopt into your daily thinking.

[10:55]: Danielle has been my client as well. I worked with her on her contracts and helped her through a difficult legal situation. She was able to take back her power from someone trying to take advantage of her financially.

[12:34]: Through this experience, Danielle learned that she needed to have contracts to protect herself and her clients.

[13:32]: As a professional, we need to value ourselves. We will sometimes need to fall back on the agreed contract when faced with clients questioning our work.

[14:52]: Educating and empowering is the heart of everything for Danielle and me. Danielle’s mission is to create greater equality between women and men by empowering women who are struggling with confidence, self-sabotage, and head trash.

[16:09]: The best business advice Danielle received was - Get a coach.

[16:20]: She advises to find advice that is in alignment with yourself and your business. Don’t listen to business advice that doesn’t resonate.

[17:01]: She would tell her younger self to chill out and don’t stress too much. Have faith that everything is going to be okay.

[17:19]: Where to find Danielle.
