#92 You Shouldn't Work All The Time

This time of year is a great opportunity to think about time off over the Christmas and New Year period. I no longer subscribe to the hustle culture or the belief that we need to be doing all the time.  I learnt the hard way that working and being on all the time is a surefire way to burnout.

In this episode, I take you through the reasons why taking time off not only benefits your health and well being, but will greatly benefit your business as well. Not having enough time out ultimately reduces profitability and increases mistakes. You lack clarity and sharp focus. It was not until I stepped away that I experienced what it was like to have space in my life.

I also share the magic that I’ve discovered that lies in human design - it gives you permission to be you. I explain how understanding which formula applies to you, allows you to get the best out of your days and yourself.

We constantly put pressure on ourselves to be on all the time and see taking a break as a luxury. However, that approach doesn’t serve us or our business. No one needs to be working all the time. It didn’t occur to me that there was another way, and now that I have experienced this, I like to share it with as many business owners as I can to offer my perspective and experience. I encourage you to think about the ways you can take a positive, guilt-free break this Christmas and New year period.
